REDEEMED

I know I’ve said that the playlist posts are my very favorite to write, but the plot summaries might be a close second. Usually because I already have them written 😉

I put my heart and soul into each and every story I write, but this one felt a little different for some reason. The Lord uses each book to change me a little for the better, but this one taught me a very special lesson: That we can be loved as we are, and also loved enough to be shown who we can become, both by our Savior, Heavenly Father, and those around us.

So, if you are in need of that lesson too, pick up Redeemed, the third installment in my Young Family Love Stories series. It also comes prepackaged with humor, an enemies to lovers relationship, and perhaps too much Grandma Helen, even for the biggest of her fans 😉

Rob Young has a plan for his life: Get out of his grandmother’s house, and finish his community service, as quick as possible. Molly Norman thought she had a plan for her life: Graduate college and become a teacher. Unfortunately for them both, their current life situations are not complying with the paths they’ve picked out.

Even more unfortunate? They are stuck volunteering at the same dog shelter. Together. 

Strangers quickly move into the territory of enemies, much to the glee of Rob, who lives to rile up Molly Mormon, and the frustration of Molly who, despite her best efforts, cannot help but seem to let Rob Young get under her skin.

Each day at the shelter, the battle between them becomes more and more heated, until fate steps in to change the game. 

In this instance, fate is named Grandma Helen. At first just forced to work in the same environment, after a “beloved” grandmother pulls some strings, Molly and Rob must now shovel poop and clean kennels out, side by side.

As their co-volunteers cower in fear, waiting for that simmering pot of clashing personalities to boil over, a surprise comes to all. Can Rob Young and Molly Norman actually get along? More than that, could they actually like each other? Could they actually be good for one another? 

It seems impossible, but as Molly knows and believes, the Lord somehow works it all for our good. What seemed like the worst possible situation for both, becomes exactly what Rob and Molly desperately needed. And suddenly, those life plans they had erected in stone begin to shift, no doubt influenced by the constant presence of the other.

Can their ceasefire survive the new curveballs life has thrown their way? Or, were they always born to be at odds with each other?
