NEGATIVE NOISE

I am not really sure anyone cares what my preferences in music are, but today was one of those days where I just needed to write a fun blog post. I’m pretty sure my taste in music isn’t horrendous, (The younger brother for sure disagrees) so hopefully everyone can find at least one song they too enjoy. As often happens, my taste in music has been a collaborative process of those around me (So, if you do in fact find my music choices horrendous, I obviously can’t be blamed. It’s my loved ones’ fault 😉). Growing up in Southeastern New Mexico gave me my love of country music. Having a Def Leppard groupie for a dad, and a The Cure groupie for a mom, taught me that no era will ever top the eighties. And finally, being forced against my will to drive my little brother to school gave me the opportunity to fall in love with Imagine Dragons (he played Night Visions on repeat for at least two months straight). I know, these three groups seem to create a hot mess of a playlist, but I somehow make it work.
Below are some of my favorite playlists. With the varying groups that have influenced me, I cannot have just one playlist to encompass every aspect of my life. The three playlists, I will admit, do not have much crossover. (although if you are feeling adventurous, I guess you could combine all three into one big playlist) However, I feel like every track has helped to develop a piece of who I am. Hopefully, as you listen (or don’t listen. You do you, sir) to some of these songs, you can catch a little glimpse of what it is like to be Negative (N)ellie.
